Bleh, winter exercise slump.

I’m on the tail end of a cold, the baby hasn’t been sleeping well and I’m over the snow. I’m officially in an exercise slump, at the worst time possible. I have a race in 3 weeks! Good thing is I know I can run it. Bad news is I won’t be able to do a sub 60 min like I wanted. I just haven’t been able to put in the time I need.

Going to the gym is possible but a production and I don’t want a production when I’m already a little under the weather. So I started googling winter exercise motivation. Yep lame I know,  but I found this article from Washingtonian “10 Ways to Stay Motivated to Work Out During the Winter.”

There it was in bold letters 6) Post on social media. OK I will I know it isn’t much but here are my goals for this week:

  • 1 day of 20 min yoga between now and Wednesday
  • 2 Runs one short 2-3 mile run on Thursday or Friday and one longer 4-5 miles on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Complete this weeks mini workouts
