Thoughts on Thursday {Who your Friends are Matter}

Who your friends are matter, they influence every part of your world, from your eating habits to your faith. As you get older you start to realize you don’t need 30 friends, you need a good core group that you can rely on and who support who you are, not who they want you to be.

This has been in the news a lot recently with Justin Beeber, his friends were arrested and then…..so was he,  just this morning.  Its not only celebrities though, its everyone.

Surround yourself with those who you want to be like, encourage one another. You won’t always agree 100% of the time but its better than being brought down.  My friends have changed over the years, I’m now surrounded my a moderate group of hippies, and runners who have a strong sense of faith. Not all in the same God I believe in but they all understand my belief and accept it, and some challenge it in the best way possible.

  1. Who you hang out with and become friends are also important because you don’t want to always hang out with people who belittle others and make offensive remarks about other people’s religion/sex/sexual orientation/ etc… Being around others who are open minded makes it comfortable for you to talk freely too without always feeling like you’ll be judged for your opinions.
