I’ve completed 2 diet bets now and I’m back to my pre-baby weight. That number however was not my goal, eating healthy was. I was using breastfeeding as an excuse to eat whatever and whenever I wanted and that is not a good thing. I wanted to and for the sake of Apple needed to eat healthier and I knew that if I did the pounds would fall off as a nice by product.
With that in mind I joined my first DietBet in Sept and had great results, the biggest motivator for me is $$ I DID NOT want to lose my ‘bet.’ That bet was easy, I just improved my eating habits (pretty much eliminated junk food is all) and the pounds just shed off. This last round was harder and I found the accountability of the other players as motivating as the money. So is DietBet for you?
Do you have the money to lose? Hopefully you will win and it will be a great success but there is always a chance you will lose, if that happens will your budget be in trouble if you don’t get your money back? If you can afford it then here are a list of things that I think will make you a good candidate for a DietBet:
- Do you respond well to peer encouragement?
- Are you motivated at the prospect of losing money?
- Will you stay active in a social media type forum? (Like Facebook)
- Do you have a digital scale and some way to submit full length pictures of yourself (camera/camera phone and other person or a full length mirror.)
If so then DietBet might be a good idea for you! Interested comment below I won’t be participating in another bet but I would love to host another one if people are interested!
