Healthy Habits? Start with Mini goals.

Life is busy and often times its to chaotic to just completely change the way you do something overnight. So why not set mini-goals to get there one step at a time?

Lets say you want to switch to eating at home  most of the time but  currently you eat out several times a week. Set mini-goals to help you get there step by step.

-Week 1 I will find 5 new easy to cook recipes

-Week 2 I will only eat out 2 times, and use 1 of my new recipes.

-Week 3 I will grocery shop for ingredients for 3 planned meals and only eat out once.

-Week 4 I will shop for 4 planned meals (other 3 I will come up with as we go) and will not eat out.

 

How about training for a race?

-Week 1 I will run 2 times for xx amount of min

-Week 2 I will run 2 times for xx amount of min (increase time)

-Week 3 I will run 3 times a week for xx amount of min.

-Week 4 I will run 3 times a week for xx amount of min (increase time)

When you accomplish your goals why not reward yourself with something health/fitness related to continue to inspire you. Depending on the size of the goal it could be new shoes or maybe just a new headband.
