While reading through my Face book timeline last week I came across this gem from my Cousin R:
When a friend is struggling with their relationship and says, “well, all relationships are hard so I just have to deal with it-” my heart is saddened. I truly believe that a healthy relationship does not have to be “hard:” there will be hard TIMES, bad days/months, challenging decisions, and human error, but if you and your partner are prioritizing each others’ needs and keeping communication open and honest, you will be able to hurdle the bad times and see them as just that: “hard times.” Just a thought.
I would love to expand on this but why? She really said it all, and she is right, so why mess with a good thing?
