Staying Motivated Part 2

Its easy to loose when your trying to start or maintain healthy habits. Its much easier to give in and stop by McDonalds on the way home or to skip a workout or 3 to do other things. Two weeks ago I talked about probably the 2 biggest reasons I loose motivation, either the schedule is overwhelming and/or eating healthy is hard.

This week I want to talk about a few other motivation zappers, time and energy.

Time-

Our lives are busy, no matter what your situation is getting a workout in is sometimes the last thing on your mind after work, cook, clean, yadda yadda. But it doesn’t have to take a lot of time, on those truly busy days do a quick workout at home even 20 min is good. Take a walk, go for a run do a quick workout video, ANYTHING!

But before life gets to busy, schedule it in! Make the time for workouts, put them down in your calendar just like a meeting or a hair appointment. This way you don’t plan to much in a day and become unable to do it.

Energy-

If your super tired don’t go whole hog, do an easy workout so you don’t hurt yourself, but if your just a little tired get up and exercise. Exercise increases your energy level and while it might not today it will in the long run.

Tired? Go for a Run
