Do you guys remember a few weeks ago when I told you about my green food storage problem? Well the very next day Woot solved my problem by having glassware for sale the very next day (nope I’m not joking.) So check out my new containers!
So I’m trying to do no waste lunches, but its hard to remember everything. I’m finally remembering my bamboo silverware everyday but now I can’t seem to remember my napkin except for the 2 days last week and one of those days I took this picture.
This does take a little planning the night before but nothing too crazy normally just packing up leftovers, putting in a napkin and making sure my bamboo stuff is clean. The most work I do is my overnight oatmeal. What you haven’t heard of that?!?! Its my new favorite, check it out see its right their in my picture from this morning:
I can’t find the blog where I first read about it now 🙁 But if I do I’ll link it up but here it is super easy:
1/3 C Raw Oats (not quick oats)
1/3 C Yogurt (Or more if you don’t like it so thick)
Dash of Cinnamon
Cut up fruit (My favorites are banana and peaches)
This helps my no waste goal by eliminating instant oatmeal packaging. I buy my oats and yogurt in big tubs! I use plain to eliminate extra sugar, but you can use whatever you want. For more ideas on what to pack when your in a hurry check out my first No Waste Lunch post.
