Using Iron-on Vinyl for the first time.

Yesterday I posted this project up on the Expressions Vinyl Blog. I’m on of their montly guest posters. Check it out often so see everyones great ideas! One of my current simple favoites is the “Days Until Board”

Also I’m looking for ideas that you want to see done in vinyl so please comment below and let me know what you would like to see done in vinyl or e-mail me lifelovegreen at gmail dot com.

I’ve been wanting to make this bag for a while and I’m really excited how it turned out. However there were a few bumps along the way. Even with the bumps it was a pretty quick and easy project. But just in case you have the same problems I decided to show you how I over came them so sit back and enjoy the show.

Start with some iron on vinyl and your bag, see simple right?

Then cut out whatever you want it to say, here’s a little advice on the vinyl itself, how to place it on the cutting mat and how to reverse your text on a gypsy.

The embed code is being weird so here is the link if it dosen’t work.

Then go ahead and iron it on, I had a few snags with the cut outs but I’ll let this video explain, really all in all it took me an extra 2 min to fix the errors.

Here is the link again just in case.

Then you have your bag! Cute huh?

  1. That is so cute 🙂 I don’t have a vinyl cutting machine or I’d ask for some ideas to use it with. It would be interesting to see if you can make an advent calendar with it though. I’ve been debating if I should make one out of cloth for E but since I’ve never had one before I don’t know where to start!
