Report Card: Oct Week 1 10lbs Down!

I’m so excited, I started ‘getting serious” about losing some weight when I hit 159.8 I did NOT want to hit 160. When people ask my why I want to lose weight my  answer is always the same. “I’m 28 and NOT pregnant there are no reason to out-grow my clothes.” The truth of the matter is I have some nice stuff, a work wardrobe I’ve put some money into and I don’t want to have to buy all new clothes.

Now 10lbs lighter I’m at a weird point, the few things I bought 2 sizes bigger are far to big but I’m not yet back to my ‘old size.’ It’s quite annoying actually. I’m glad for the success but I would just like to be able to look at my closet and wear anything in it not just the things that I know will fit me.

Last week went well I hit the gym 3 times and also got in plenty of focused movement (cleaning yard  work) on the off days.

I also had an opportunity to try a few things Mac would never eat, first our successful meal from last week that Mac did like:

I found this one on www.kraftfoods.com and it was a good one, it can feed up to 6 people but for us it was great because we had left overs for work!

So this is pretty ‘natural’ stuffing isn’t really but its not one of the worst foods either, maybe just a bit too much sodium.

This week I got to try a squash recipe since Mac wasn’t home. It was good, but a little bland so I added some Taco Sauce and then it was perfect.

Now for the boring part here is my report card for the week, I’ve made a few changes to this months goals because I have a lot going on and honestly dont’ need the self-pressure.

  1. Good job, Amber! Seeing your progress makes me want to go out and work out right now too 🙂 Of course, I’m still getting over the cold that E gave me but maybe I’m just making excuses…. Keep up the good work! I’m cheering for you!

    By the way, that French Onion Pork Chop looks yummy! I must try that one day 🙂
