I’ve talked plenty about trying to be green and healthier and these two words are not often linked to pizza. But lets face it, I like pizza. So if I’m going to eat it I might as well make a choice, Freschetta has a new product FRESCHETTA® Simply…Inspired™” it uses 30% less packaging material!!! 

I took their quiz on their website and it said I had an adventurous palate and should try one of these 3 flavors:

Farmers Market Veggie

Its like a walk through the farmer’s market. With marinated and roasted portabella mushrooms, rough cut tomatoes, roasted red onion and zucchini, this pizza bursts with fresh flavors. 

Those all sound good to me but my since I was sharing with my hubby we decided together. After riding our bike to the grocery store we had many choices (our store carried 6 of the 8.)

                                    

 

 We decided on the Rustic Pepperoni Pomodoro

Classic meets cutting edge: thick slices of pepperoni, shiitake mushrooms and roasted red peppers layered over a zesty red sauce, topped with signature blend of cheeses and spices.

The verdict? Pretty darn good.  We liked the spice blend, which is saying something since we normally add our own. It was also great to have large recognizable ingredients. The only down side was the crust however we decided that was because it partially thawed during the bike ride home. The edges were delish! We are going to try it again next time with the Blanco Chicken Pizza
