So this morning I had no clue what to write for today’s Thoughts on Thursday post. None, nada, nothing. Then what did I hear on the radio but a song that Ashton Kutcher and his step-daughter Scout wrote and low and behold I liked the lyrics. I couldn’t find all of the lyrics on line but I think this gives you a good taste.
‘You’re my sober when I’m wasted/ You’re my courage when I’ve got a doubt/ You’re my happy when I’m grumpy/You’re my smile when I’m stuck with a pout’ and ‘You’re my weapon ‘gainst the sandman/ Feel so warm in my hand.’

So I decided to look up a few more lyrics that I liked. Here is a song by Anberlin ” Inevitable” that was one of our songs:
I wanna break every clock
The hands of time could never move again
We could stay in this moment (stay in this moment)
For the rest of our lives
Is it over now hey, hey, is it over nowI wanna be your last, first kiss
That you’ll ever have
I wanna be your last, first kiss
Last but not least “Miracle of the Moment” by Steven Curtis Chapman
There’s only One who knows
What’s really out there waiting
In all the moments yet to be
And all we need to know
Is He’s out there waiting
To Him the future’s historyAnd He has given us a treasure called right now
And this is the only moment we can do anything aboutSo breathe it in and breathe it out
Listen to your heartbeat
There’s a wonder in the here and now
It’s right there in front of you
And I don’t want you to miss the miracle of the momentDon’t forget to share your Thoughts on Thursday Link it Up!
This isn’t so much a marriage thought but a family thought. My older daughter and I were listening to music this morning and I played Over the Rainbow by IZ for her. It brought back a lot of memories of when she was born and those first few months with a precious little babe. Thanks for following me back.
I LOVE your thoughts on thursday 🙂 I just linked up too!
Music is such a huge part of my life. I relate it to so many situations. I love that first song you posted about…Im going to check it out later when I am home.
Wow, I’ve never heard of any of these songs. I feel so out of the loop! The lyrics are beautiful though. I’m going to seek out these songs and see what they sound like 🙂
Grrr….I can’t link up again. Do you think you can fix this? You must have read my mind…I had been thinking of doing a post like this and now i have one up. Just needs to be linked.
