2011 Aspirations

I don’t want to have resolutions just that word sets me up for negative thoughts and then failure because of those thoughts so here are my aspirations for 2011:

  • Recycle more to reduce the amount of waste we have. Possibly reduce enough to go down a garbage pail size.
  • Find more practical everyday ways to go green.
  • Reduce our debt, we don’t have much but I would like to be down to just our mortgage by mid 2013. (This includes a few things but the large items are the pathfinder and student loans.)
  • To eat less processed foods and keep to our dining our budget.
  • To remain in my current pant size comfortably.
  • To cook more home cooked meals, yummy.
  • To see my Iowa family at least 5 times this year (but more would be better)
  • To not use all my sick days as I accrue them…heres hoping.
  • Become a savvy shopper (stocking up, using coupons, not buying things I don’t need.)

  1. I don’t do resoltions either. I do goals (though some of them I do think about in the New Year). Here are mine:

-Work out 3 times a week
-Continue to pay off our debts and be a savvy shopper (I would recommend Pocketyourdollars.com if you don’t already follow this)
-Go on at least one photo safari & build my photography portfolio
-Travel to the Wolf Center in Ely
-Continue to not get involved in others peoples drama and walk away if/when needed.

  2. You’re aspirations sounds reasonable. I don’t do resolutions either, but my main goal for this year is to focus more on our family business (Naturally Sports & Wellness) and I hope to make it a full time business…

    Happy New Year!

  3. I don’t do resolutions either because people tend to break them but I like your idea of having aspirations. I think you have a great list for this year and I’m pretty sure you’ll do well in achieving them 🙂 Happy New Year!
