I know many of us send out letters this time of year letting all of our friends and family know what is going on in our lives. I”ve decided to keep ours short the last couple of years both to save paper, and because our lives don’t have all that much to report right now. I’ve decided to keep them pretty simple this year (I don’t have a lot of extra time) here is what I’ve come up with.
First I used my 12×12 Jolly AC Cardsock that I bought on sale after Christmas last year, to make 6 4×6 base cards.
Remember if you are using patterned paper to cut it so that the design will be upright on the finished product (this picture is a bad example but you will see what I mean on one of the finished cards.)
Then I used my printer to print our Christmas letter on the backside of the cardstock. I simply used Pages (word for a Mac) and set up a Christmas Letter Template (4×6 with a 1/2 inch margin all around.)
Finally I used my new Sizzix Texture Boutique, that I got for my birthday to make a small Merry Christmas Tag. I used the Sizzix Embossing Folders – Christmas set #7 FYI.
Here are some of the finished products. Closer to Christmas I’ll have an e-card for you all.
Ok so now I need some help from you guys should I round the corners on the Merry Christmas tag?
It looks very nice! Thanks for sharing. As far as the tag, I would round the corners. Hi from a fellow Blogmania member–

Ooo, nice! I think rounded corners would look nice too. Maybe you should make one and put it up on your blog so we can compare 🙂 I really like that embossed look!
So cute!! Thanks so much for the awesome idea!
Love those papers! What a great tool – love the embossed look. I too think the corners should be rounded. Thanks for linking up to Scrappy Saturdays! Feautring this tomorrow.
