So Christmas shopping is starting in full force, the Halloween candy is gone and red and green candies are taking their place. We are shopping for food, presents, winter clothing and if your me supplies to to make your Christmas cards. There are a lot of ways to make these purchases green and we will talk about them later but today we are going to talk about how we take them home.
Cloth bags are becoming a trend, they are ‘cool’ and acceptable, you can find them anywhere. That actually leads to a problem, because they are a trend everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and not all of the bags are manufactured in an eco-friendly way. The bags by Ecozuri are. Not only are they made from 100% recycled plastics that are collected and processed in the U.S. Another stand out fact is they can hold up to 50 lbs. You can feel the difference in the thickness of the fabric and the solid construction.
So here they are in action.
You can barely see it in the pic but just to the left of the brown bag you can see a small drawstring bag that is clipped to my belt loop. That is the storage bag that these bags come in, it was so simple to have them on my hip while walking around the farmers market, and just take them out as needed.
These bags are washable and fold up neatly into their own attached bags when not being used! They would be great for shopping or as a gift for your greenie friends!
Ecozuri has been generous enough to give one of you this same vibrant 3-in-1 set to one of my readers!
See that bottom item? Its a reminder, place it on your steering wheel, purse handle or grocery cart so you don’t forget to use them. According to the Ecozuri website there is a survey that says 90% of people don’t use their cloth bags because they forget. This will help you keep them in mind.

What a fun giveaway. Unfortunately, I get so many cloth bags for buying things that I don’t think I need to add to that madness. Besides, I love using the “Life, Love, Green” bag you sent me. It’s perfect for holding groceries and small enough to stick in my purse 🙂

One good reason to use reusable bags – Toxic emissions are produced during the extraction of materials for the production of plastic grocery bags. The manufacturing and transportation of such materials contribute to acid rain, smog, and numerous other harmful effects.

Plastic bags aren’t as reliable. And can only be used once or twice maybe, and then have to be thrown away to pollute.
Green Bags can be used forever!

reusable bags spare the landfills from plastic bags that will take a 1000 years to degrade.
Re-using plastic bags saves the earth from toxic substances leaching from the degrading polyethylene.
