Green Challenge: ReUse Week 2 (Giveaway)

Ooh I’m excited for today its my first Linky Party! I hope people link up and its not a dud….A

Anyway, today I wanted to focus on a way we can all reuse on almost a daily basis. BYOL Bring your own lunch. Just think how much waste goes in to frozen dinners…yikes. Bringing left overs not only gives you more control of what is in your food but also what your food is in. So lets start with the basics. (oh this will be from a work prospective, I don’t have kids so I don’t know about school.)

This is my lunch bag. I bought it at Old Navy for a dollar and I’m pretty sure its made from recycled plastic, its also very easy to clean.

Now I know its not the most green option but I do use just regular rubbermaid containers to transport my food. However I NEVER heat my food up in those containers. I’m lucky enough to have a kitchen at work and we have plates and bowls there that I use. If that isn’t an option I would look in to glass or BPA free storage soulutions.

Bring your own water bottle and napkin!

Lastly I keep my ingenuiTEA maker at work with loose tea. It can be use over and over again and the reason I like this brand is because you can replace the filter you don’t have to replace the whole thing!
