I’ve lost 10lbs

Today is Cooper’s 1st birthday but the power cord to my MacBook died and I can’t get it replaced till today so look forward to a Cooper post on Friday! 

For those of you who know me in the ‘real’ world this may surprise you. So let me start off with the fact that I’m not concerned with the number of my weight I’m concerned for my heath and that at the age of 27 and NOT pregnant I was growing out of my pants. Yikes, not good. So after some research I found out the the ideal weight for my height and frame is between 125 – 145.2 lbs. When I started this I was at 155…ooh that is hard to admit.

I’m not doing any crazy diets I’m just eating healthier counting calories and exercising more. Basically making an effort to care about my health. Its working! I’m not in a race I want to do this right so that its sustainable. I don’t want to have to buy new pants next year.

So here are some of the specifics:

  • I’m using www.myfitnesspal.com to keep track of my calories and my exercise (its Free!)
  • I’m eating/drinking less sugar.
  • I’m making healthier choices, not diet food, whole foods that are better for you.
  • Eating smaller portions
  • Exercising 3-5 days a week depending on the week.
  • I have friends who are also losing weight to support me (thanks girls!)

  1. Wow! Congratulations! Losing weight is really hard to do and I think it takes a lot of willpower to be able to keep the weight off 🙂 Keep up the good work! I’ll be cheering for you 🙂

  2. Girl, I use to use myfitnesspal on my iphone but I think I like it on the computer way better (faster). Thanks for the reminder to get my butt in gear again. I need to loose 20 lbs. I started a new job last Fall and everyone brings in treats. I’ve gained seriously 15lbs since then. NO BUENO! Keep it up
