I was tagged by Jen from Hamster Central asking me a few questions here are the answers.
What experience has shaped you most and why? This one is easy, Mark getting cancer and all that came with it stress, responsibility, and faith. I learned so much about myself over those 3.5 years. After he passed away I’ve learned Even more about myself with the biggest lesson how to love again.
If you had a whole day with no commitments, what would you do? With no commitments so that means I wouldn’t have to clean? I think I would scrapbook. The only problem with that is that I have to be in a creative mood…so I might watch a musical first to get me in the mood.
What food or drink could you never give up? Taffy, or maybe Water I can’t decide if I should answer literally or metaphorically.
If you could travel anywhere, where would that be and why? I really like cruises, I’ve been to Hawaii, the west coast and the Caribbean. My dream vacation would be a cruise to Alaska, with a kayak day trip, and see some whales.
Which woman writer, living or dead, do you admire most? Honestly I’m kind of embarrassed to admit its no one philosophical, or with deep thoughts she is the author of my favorite book from when I was young. “The Seeing Summer” by Jeannette Eyerly.
If you could spend just one day in someone else’s body, who would it be? I think it would be one of my Deaf consumers. I want to really get a feel for what it means to not hear anything. How it would be to communicate with the world around me when no one else knows sign language.
Give me one savory recipe that doesn’t include cheese. I just made this last night so its fresh in my mind. French dip.
Lean beef roast 3-4 lbs
1/2 C Soy Sauce
1 beef bouillon cube
1 bay leaf
3-4 whole peppercorns
1 tsp dried rosemary crushed
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp garlic powder
Mix it all together in a crock pot add the roast and cover with water until its almost covered. Cook on low for 10-12 hours. Remove the meat and shred with 2 forks. Put on hard rolls and dip in the juice! Yummy!
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up? I was going to be a teacher ever since I was little. That is what I started going to college for, then I realized that I couldn’t teach kids to spell if I couldn’t do it myself…That is when I switched over to being a Sign Language Interpreter.
If you were leader of your country, what would you do? Oh wow so many things came to mind its overwhelming. But one thing I would like to do is instill a sense of responsibility in this country again. I’m sick of hearing that your problems are always someone else’s fault.
Who do you have a crush on? Mr. Schuster from Glee which is cool because he is a fictional character so its not cheating. The man can sing and he is kinda cute. Seems like he would be fun.
What character trait inspires you the most? The first thing that jumped in my head was honesty so I’m going with that.
What is your favorite kind of music? I truly listen to everything, some kinds of music I can listen to longer than others.
What is one fact about you that most people who know you wouldn’t guess? I’m 27 and I’ve owned 3 homes and moved 6 times since I was 19.
If you were given a chance to relive any moment or day of your life, which day would you choose and why? I honestly don’t know, maybe one of the days of our cruise, or the day that Mac and I sat in the parking lot of McDonald’s and talked for like 2 hours.
