I”ve been working on this for a while but I keep having problems with my sewing machine š Well I gave up and finished it last night with the hot glue instead. FYI since this took forever I don’t have a tutorial, but I will be making another one and I will include a tutorial. Sorry š But I will tell you that the base is a composition notebook cut apart and widened with Duct Tape.
Here is some of the detail, I wanted to rough it up a bit:
Here is the inside that I ended up gluing I wanted to hem it first but oh well.
I always thought this was cute. It makes it look like a crafty notebook from the outside.
I love it – even if it was hot glued…and I don’t have an iPad š I hope you get your sewing machine fixed soon, though. I’ve been having a lot of fun with mine recently, and I’d be pretty upset if it wasn’t working for me.
Way to go! You can buy stuff to make fabric into an iron on which might be a little sturdier in the long run than the hot glue? And there is actual fabric glue that would work well too!!! I’m considering getting a kindle since I read so many books and we’re running out of room and this would be super cute!
Awww, I’m super jealous that you have an iPad š I can’t come up with enough reasons to get one yet so I’ll just have to wait.
You know, you are like a crafting idol to me. I just love all the little crafts that you make! It inspires me to want to get out my sewing machine and actually try use it to make things š I totally love that iPad case š
Beautiful!!!
This is COOL! Normally when you see a case…its like the slip on kind. But I LOVE how this opens like a book. It actually reminds me of those folders that have a clip in it to clip a legal notepad. I like the patchwork look too! Nice job!
Saw this on The CSI Project
That’s so cute, Amber! I love the fabric you used, too. It turned out so good! š
I love how adorable this turned out! So cute! Thanks for linking up to Hoo’s got talent!
I LOVE IT!!!!!! very nice work!! I’d totally pay for this if I saw it in a store!
